Just Live Podcast 033 - How does MOMENTUM become a Way of LIFE?
by Dan & Suzie Potter
Momentum can be described as a state of motion, forward energy or progress that is maintained through continuous effort and focus. When applied to a your life, it means consistently moving forward and making progress towards your life and relationship goals. Building and maintaining momentum requires discipline, perseverance, and a positive attitude. It can and will lead to a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction in your life.
"Momentum as a Way of Life" is all about building momentum through daily actions and rhythms. A “Way of Life” is a philosophy that enables a person to reach any goal. When you consistently move forward, come what may, you can maintain forward progress and grow towards your desired way of living life.
The Bible shows many people who were living on purpose with life direction. None of them were perfect, nor expected to be, but they demonstrated a strong sense of momentum. Think about Adam & Eve, Noah, Abraham & Sarah, Moses, David, Esther, Ruth and Daniel. They all faced challenges and obstacles, but they persevered and remained focused, moving forward and finishing well. They established life rhythms, relationships, relied on their faith and moved with God.
The truth is, having life momentum is tied directly to living out your purpose and fulfilling God's plan for your life. If you are not sure what your purpose is, it is simple: LOVE. Love God, each other and yourself. When you LOVE, you will make a positive impact in the world.
Momentum as a Way of Life continues to plant and grow Faith, Hope and Love . . . it is the recipe for an unshakeable Life.
In the book of Philippians, Paul emphasizes the importance of perseverance and maintaining momentum, saying, "Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me." (Philippians 3:12). This verse encourages us to keep moving forward, even when faced with challenges and obstacles. It motivates us to continue pursuing the desires God has put upon our hearts with determination and persistence as a Way of Life.
